These are test scans from two rolls of Fuji Superia Reala 100 I shot recently. You can click on each of the pictures for a larger JPG. The scans are from two different films (first three are from first film, second three from the other one) which were developed in two different labs.
For each picture I took a "reference shot" using my M8. The M8 photos were taken with a 35mm Summicron (pre-ASPH) while the film shots were taken with an M4-P and a 50mm Summicron from the 70s. So, while these shots are obviously not comparable in any way, the M8 photos give an idea of how the colors should be. I shot stuff at home so I can compare and I can confirm that the M8 photos, while not totally accurate, are pretty true in color to how the objects actually look like. The M8 are DNGs straight from the camera directly converted to JPGs in Adobe Lightroom.
The photos were scanned using an Epson Perfection V750 Pro Scanner using a) Epson's own EpsonScan software, b) SilverFast AI, and c) a test version of VueScan. For one film, I also have scans which were done by an online service called Farbglanz. For this test, all scans were done using the auto exposure feature of the corresponding applications, for SilverFast and VueScan I used the provided profiles for the Reala film. Everything was scanned directly to JPG.
